Toronto Baby Photography

Welcome to my Toronto baby photography blog and website

Hello, I'm Charlotte. Nice to meet you!

I absolutely love using my newborn and baby photography to bring joy and happiness into people’s lives. I love knowing that the images I’ve created will become priceless heirlooms for your family in years to come. One day, when your children have grown, you’ll hold on to these images as a way to take you back to this special time in your life.

It’s true that newborn babies grow so quickly! It is imperative to professionally capture these fleeting moments before they’re gone forever.

I'll create fresh and natural baby photography of your little one and stylized editorial portraits of your children that reflect the essence and unique personality of your child. From the moment you enter my Toronto baby photography studio you will be a part of a tranquil environment designed as the ideal space for relaxed child portraiture. Sit back with a hot cup of herbal tea and enjoy the experience as I create amazing fine art imagery especially for your child.

Fall Family Photos in High Park, Toronto

I really rarely do family sessions. I tend to focus on my newborns and make that my specialty.  But I do love shooting families especially when they’re fiends of mine. Natalie is baby Jesse’s mom and I’ve known her since high school. You may recognize Jesse from his newborn session a few months back. Now that he’s growing up, I thought it would be nice to do a shoot for them before the weather got too chilly. Those of you that know me know I don’t do mini sessions. I really want my time to produce my art, I’m a bit of a stickler that way. Because this was a special shoot, I was willing to break my rules a bit. So when I say mini session, I mean mini session!! According to my card, this shoot from start to finish was only 32 minutes… Woah, what??! That’s way outta my comfort zone, but change is good. The different locations were all within a few feet so that helped I’m sure. High Park in Toronto has so many great spots for photography sessions and is so beautiful even in late Fall. Here are a few of my faves from today’s family photo session 🙂

March 10, 2011 - 6:10 pm Matthew - Hi there i love your style of photography they feel really natural. I have been trying to emulate this with some degree of success. I do however have trouble finding "props" for my work. Could you please let me know where on earth you get your wonderful props, hats and such for the babies. Kind regards and looking forward to hearing from you. Matthew

Coming Soon…

Hello Rainbow Readers!!

I’m so busy around here but I wanted to post a sneak peak of little J.T.’s shoot from last week. J.T.’s awesome parents found my photography at the Baby Time Show here in Toronto. They were really drawn to me because I LOVE photographing my newborn babies in unique and creative ways! J.T. was the best little baby model ever and I had so much fun getting him into all my different newborn poses. I’m also working on a very special project that will be announced soon. In the meantime I’ve been working on updating my portfolio with my fresh fave images.  There are so many great newborn shoots this year that I’d still love to share with you all but haven’t gotten to yet! Check back soon!!

January 12, 2011 - 12:00 am Shauna - OMG... WOW! Why have I never heard of you before?? AND you're a fellow Canadian.. Your work is absolutely stunning, Charlotte... Have you ever considered mentoring? I just had my first newborn session today and have come to the conclusion that I could use some serious help! Wow.. (yes, I just said wow again).. absolutely breathtaking lady!!

A Trip To The Farm {Baby Film}

Some of you may remember Natasha and Kester from a few years back. They are one of our gorgeous wedding couples that had an incredible destination wedding on a clifftop in Barbados. Dave and I were so thrilled to come along and document one of the happiest days together. A little while later beautiful baby Kashton came along. He was so small and so sweet and one of my early newborn sessions. Now he’s all grown up into an energetic 15 month old and loves using his little legs to explore with his  new found freedom! Kashton, mom and dad all loved the idea of going to this adorable little farm and pumpkin patch for their family session. After the photo shoot yesterday, I put together this little Super 8 Baby Film digitally and was excited I could have it ready today. Considering the turn around time takes much, much longer for old fashioned film, we’re happy to have this put together and edited so quickly. Since we’re a green company we also love that no harmful processing chemicals are used! Isn’t technology grand!

November 7, 2010 - 6:47 pm Alicia Thurston {ALT Designs} - Gorgeous Photos Charlotte! What a beautiful family and perfect little boy.

November 7, 2010 - 7:27 pm Antoinette Sealy - Beautiful photos Charlotte, and my grandson is ever so handsome. Thanks to you and Dave for your friendship with Tasha and Kester.

November 7, 2010 - 7:57 pm Masden - Great serie ! I love the 07 !!

November 9, 2010 - 4:58 am Louise - Wow, what a beautiful family!

November 9, 2010 - 12:35 pm Tricia Madill - WOW - So cute...what a little personality he has. Always smiling! I really love the movie, such a great family keepsake!

November 11, 2010 - 9:20 pm Ashley - I swear the Washingtons are the most precious family EVER! You knocked this out of the park, yet again, Dave & Charlotte.

Hazel {Toronto Newborn Photography}

Thanks for checking in on my baby photography blog 🙂 I know I’ve been behind on my blogging but I’ve been very, very busy with exciting Rainbow projects around here. I recently went on a trip sourcing new props for my sessions and am happy to say I had to build a new prop room to hold all of my new goodies!! Yes, the whole studio has had a makeover because of the newborn prop madness, lol! I have to say hunting for fabrics has been my latest love and prop room #2 is brimming with exciting new materials! This week is a week jammed packed with newborn sessions as left Toronto for a mini-break at an Eco Lodge in Muskoka with Dave. It was great to explore so many amazing antique shops in Muskoka. I found (another) gorgeous dough bowl for my babies and some other props you’ll see soon on the blog! This is a cute session from last month, meet newborn baby Hazel.

She was so cute and adorable, I couldn’t resist putting her into this baby pose to emphasize her chubby cheeks. I thought the green and brown would be best for a newborn with a name like Hazel.

Almost every parent asks for this shot, froggy pose, and although it’s a real balancing act it’s so worth it when we get the pose to hold. I love the little toes sticking out. Super cute!

Mom fell in love with this little rabbit hat and loved having a shot of Hazel looking so cute!

Baby detail always look amazing in my newborn albums. I love to take shots of little details so we can remember how tiny they once were.

Hazel’s mom and dad had a 20’s inspired vintage wedding and loved the idea of incorporating the peacock feathers in to the shots. They had peacock feathers as a wedding detail so it was nice I had some feathers we could incorporate into the newborn session 🙂

Thanks baby Hazel for spending a photography session with me! I had a great time creating these timeless images and hope you love them as much as I do!
