Toronto Baby Photography

Hi! My Name is Charlotte - Welcome to my Toronto baby photography website.

I absolutely love using my baby photography to bring joy and happiness into people’s lives. I feel so fulfilled when I see the delight experienced when you first see your baby's photographs. I love knowing that the images I’ve created will become priceless heirlooms for your family in years to come. As your children grow, you’ll hold on to my images as a part of your memories.

It’s true that babies grow so quickly! It is imperative to professionally capture these fleeting moments before they’re gone forever.

I live to create unique and memorable baby photography of your little one that reflects the

essence and personality of your child. From the moment you enter my Toronto baby photography studio you will be a part of a tranquil environment designed as the ideal space for relaxed child portraiture. Sit back with a hot cup of herbal tea and enjoy the experience as I create amazing fine art portraiture uniquely for your special child.

Capturing the peacefulness of a sleeping newborn baby, the new smiles of a 3 month old or the adorable chubbiness that comes with being a toddler is something I hold very close to my heart.

To book your baby's professional photography session, please click the "Contact" link above and call or email me to reserve your time. If you are expecting, we will set a tentative date based on your due date. Don't delay, sessions are limited.

{Newborn Poses} Kaleya

Hellllooo readers!

I’m finally back to my blog! I know I’ve been away on a bit of a hiatus… It’s mainly because I’ve been shooting straight since I got back from photographing Melissa and Sean’s gorgeous wedding in St. Thomas in The Virgin Islands just under 2 weeks back. It was a gorgeous spot in the world to have a ceremony and everything was as magical as we could have ever imagined. I had such an amazing time with everyone but I was also itching to get back into the studio with my babies again :) I truly DO love every moment I spend with these little darlings and miss it when we’re gone! Baby Kaleya was the last newborn I photographed before we left snowy Toronto to enjoy the sunshine of the Caribbean…

Kaleya was so adorable and such a sweetie while I photographed her! She was a bit past that sleepy newborn stage so she was wide eyed and bushy tailed for our shoot. It was nice to see her sparkly eyes and to see her personality come through too!

I love this sequence above! What a cute little munchkin! It looks like Kaleya is having a great time boogie-ing away. Too cute for words :) I also loved each shot individually… Check them out below. Isn’t she one of the cutest newborns you’ve ever seen.

This photo above has to be the cutest shot from the newborn session. I love the energy and her expression!

Baby Kaleya’s parents really loved soft neutrals and the creamier colour pallets for the session. I think there is something so dreamy about using soft colours and really focusing on the baby.  I also like to use vibrant colours to really make my images pop and play with my creativity too.

Look at those gorgeous little twinkly eyes! There is just something simply beautiful about a classic newborn portrait that I love. I always like to create something like this for my clients, just a beautiful, honest portrait of their little one that they can look back on and cherish.

Thanks so much for being such a great model Kaleya!! A big thanks to mom and dad too, I had such a great time with you guys :)

Thanks for checking up on what we’ve been up to everyone… I’ll be caught up on my posts soon. There are some great shoots out there that I’m waiting to post but we’ve been working on a few very special projects (they’ll be announced in the next couple of days on the blog).  I can’t wait to share my other sessions with you and some great news soon so stay tuned!

{Toronto Baby Photographer} Baby Poses Maya

Meet gorgeous little newborn baby Maya! I was so excited when she came by the studio with her parents for a shoot. I could tell from the first moment I met her that she would be a calm, relaxed little model, plus she is super adorable isn’t she :)

I love catching these shots, like the image above, when you fully have a newborns attention… She has such deep peircing eyes doesn’t she?? It makes you wonder what she’s thinking about.

Dave and I just recently stayed at a great little bed and breakfast in Gananoque while we were doing some antique shopping for newborn photography props. This place was so nice and the first bed and breakfast we’d ever stayed at. Lisa the owner was so nice and accommodating and she makes a mean good morning quiche from scratch! If you’re ever in the area, we’d highly recommend it! I love looking for old treasures with a bit of character for my shoots. While we were on our antiquing adventure, I found this little shabby chic stool! It made a perfect little bed for little princess Maya :)

I also found this cute little wooden bucket that was a perfect prop for my newborn sessions… So sweet!

I love these shots below… Have you ever seen a newborn with such a deep gaze? What a great model little Maya was!

Maya’s parents loved hot pinks and fuchsias for her newborn session. I had a great time playing with these colours because I love to incorporate vibrancy into my shots!

I also love muted, neutral colours to have a softer feeling to the shots. I just love sleepy, curly, newborn pictures. They look so peaceful and tranquil when they are dreaming away.

Maya was such a happy, sleepy little model I even got a chance to set her up in this cute newborn pose below. I absolutely love capturing unique and creative newborn poses during my baby photography sessions!

Awww, I was so happy when I got this gray little lamb hat in the mail the other day… It’s so soft and so adorable for newborns.

…This cute little bunny hat came at the same time, isn’t Maya the cutest baby! Look at that little smile :)

It was nice to use this snuggly baby swaddler again. I haven’t used it in a long time. Very sweet and cozy, only our teeny, tiniest little babies can fit into it…

Thanks so much to Maya’s parents for choosing me to photograph baby Maya as a newborn. I loved every moment of this shoot and can’t wait to photograph Maya again one day!

{Newborn Photography Toronto}

Oh my goodness, am I ever excited about this post!!! I know it’s been a while since my last post, it’s not because I haven’t been shooting, LOL! I’ve shot 4 baby sessions in the last 7 days so I’ve just been busy snapping away. I was also at an AMAZING photographers convention Mystic 5 in Mystic, Connecticut learning from some of my favourite Master Photographers from around the globe. Yes, that’s the home of the famous Julia Roberts movie, Mystic Pizza. We actually went out for pizza there while in town! It was a fantastic week but my poor little blog ended up getting neglected while we were away having a great time!

Meet baby ‘N’. I call her baby ‘N’ as she didn’t have a name at the time of the shoot. She may now, but finding that perfect name for a baby must be a difficult task :) I have a few baby names lined up for the happy day Dave and I have a little one, but I’m sure they’ll come and go between now and then.

She was such a sweet little munchkin! Those cheeks have to be the most adorable baby cheeks I’ve seen in a while. Isn’t she a cutie, Awwwwww.

Baby ‘N’s’ mommy loved some of the beautiful rich blue coloured fabrics I had around the studio. She also loved the shot of baby Raydon in the basket with the blue flourished wall. I was happy to do a new version of one of my favourite shots for her.

Ok, this shot below is part of the reason why I LOVE newborn photography SO much. Such a cute shot. Little toesies, fingers, doesn’t she just look like she’s snoozing away in dreamland… Too cute!

Baby ‘N’s’ Grandparents have a farm and wanted to incorporate a shot of a pumpkin into the newborn photography session. I thought it was an adorable idea and had fun shooting with it in a few of the photographs!

I love this silky fabric I found. It was such a cute way to incorporate some vibrancy into the shoot. Such a cool pattern huh?

No newborn photo session would be complete without some of my favourite, clean, classic, timeless shots. I love photographing my newborns this way! She was so cozy on the black sheepskin! Something like this never goes out of style and will remain as beautiful as it is today in many years to come.

It was really meaningful for me to be the first photographer to take a family photo of mom, dad and baby together. Images like this truly become priceless heirlooms for my clients. I know one day they will be so happy they decided to get a family portrait while their baby was so tiny.

One day when we have children, I know we will have a photo like this taken. I love that baby ‘N’ is holding her mom’s finger. Awww, soo adorable.

Creating these tiny moments for parents to look back on is really what drives me to challenge myself to go further and further with each shoot. Photographing newborns and babies is truly my passion and I’m so happy I can be on the other side of the lens during such a special time!

{Newborn Photography} Layla

Happy New Year everyone!!!

Wow… What a great holiday we’ve had! We spent the last week visiting my family in snowy Southampton and had a great Christmas with the whole family. We’ll be back to work January 2nd but I couldn’t wait to get this blog post up while on holiday.

It seems like SO many of my clients are referrals these days. Word of mouth is probably my major source of new clients and it really feels like I have a connection with these parents before we even meet. When I met Melissa, beautiful little baby Layla’s mom, I felt like I sort of knew her already. Melissa is little baby Kashton’s Auntie and I have been great friends with Kash’s mom Tash for a few years now. We shot Tash’s gorgeous wedding on a cliff top over-looking the ocean in Barbados last year and fell in love with their whole family! It was really nice to finally meet Melissa for little Layla’s shoot and to see the similarities between the two sisters :) They’re both very considerate, kind and not to mention great moms!

I was so excited when Melissa came by the studio with sweet newborn baby Layla! She was in an adorable fuzzy pink snow suit and was snug as a bug sleeping away. When it was time to shoot she was such a perfect little model and gave me some really cute sleepy smiles too!

Doesn’t Layla have the cutest little cheeks, she reminds me of a chubby cherub, too cute! I had a lot of fun using some different props and set ups for her newborn session. Newborn photography does take a while as it’s very important that you allow time for feedings, changes and make sure the baby feels calm and relaxed. I was having so much fun during our afternoon session that the sun set by the time I was done!! Wow is it ever getting dark fast this time of year.

Baby Layla was so adorable I know that she and her new cousin Kash were probably super spoiled by Santa this year! It was great having mom Melissa and baby Layla by the studio to capture some awesome newborn pictures while she was still so tiny! I can’t wait to see them both in another few months for their next baby session to document Layla as she grows.

Thanks to everyone for taking the time in 2009 to check out what’s been happening on my blog and especially for leaving all of your kind comments on my posts! I really appreciate it and I really appreciate all of you!! Have a great 2010!!!
