Toronto Baby Photography

Welcome to my Toronto baby photography blog and website

Hello, I'm Charlotte. Nice to meet you!

I absolutely love using my newborn and baby photography to bring joy and happiness into people’s lives. I love knowing that the images I’ve created will become priceless heirlooms for your family in years to come. One day, when your children have grown, you’ll hold on to these images as a way to take you back to this special time in your life.

It’s true that newborn babies grow so quickly! It is imperative to professionally capture these fleeting moments before they’re gone forever.

I'll create fresh and natural baby photography of your little one and stylized editorial portraits of your children that reflect the essence and unique personality of your child. From the moment you enter my Toronto baby photography studio you will be a part of a tranquil environment designed as the ideal space for relaxed child portraiture. Sit back with a hot cup of herbal tea and enjoy the experience as I create amazing fine art imagery especially for your child.

{Toronto Baby Photography} Matteo

A lot of regular readers will be familiar with this cute little baby below!! Yes, you’ve guessed it, it’s baby Matteo… He’s a big boy now, all grown up at 6 months old! I feel soo very lucky that I have the ability to capture the first year of his life with my camera. Matteo’s parents can always look back on these images and remember what Matteo was like at each little milestone! Isn’t that AWESOME!! It’s just another reason why I love creating unique and creative baby photos for my clients, I just feel that their baby’s memories deserve the very best.

Three months ago, when I photographed Matteo’s 2nd baby session, I realized what an alert and expressive baby he was. He was all giggles and smiles then. I also noticed that at 6 months, he was very aware of me and my camera, always looking up at me with his twinkly eyes… very cute!

Matteo loved the feeling of the sheepskin rug and was playing with the fuzzy textures in his fingers… He was having a great time!!

I think that photographing little details like, toes, fingers and eyelashes can be sooo cute and something that as parents you may soon forget as your baby quickly grows. How nice it is to have a memory of how teeny tiny your children were as baby’s.

See what I mean about expressive!! He was singing along and had a giggle while mommy and daddy sang him some of his favourite songs :)

I was really happy about Matteo coming by the studio so I could use my new sofa for the shoot. I love photographing 6 month old babies as they can sit up on their own, but can’t scoot away too easily. I also love all of the adorable baby chubbiness that comes along with this age.

At the end of the shoot, it was time for baby Matteo to get ready to go home… He was looking very fashionable in his sporty collared polo, so I couldn’t resist taking a few shots of him getting ready for the car ride home…

Have you ever seen anything cuter than Matteo in his rolly polly snow suit?? He looks like the Michelin Man!! So sweet… He just waited patiently, all bundled up for his mom and dad to take him home. Thanks so much to Linh and Frank for choosing me to photograph such special moments in your baby’s life! Can’t wait to see how Matteo changes in 3 more months!!

Wow… what a week! I’m so excited to post some of my newborn shoots I’ve done lately but with the Christmas rush here it’s been a bit crazy around the studio. I thought I’d blog one cute little newborn, baby Raydon, that I’ve been meaning to blog him for a while. He was such a little cutie and he slept pretty much the whole time which really allows me to get some beautiful, curly newborn poses we all love.

I really take a lot of pride in creating something special for every baby I photograph. I get inspiration from each child and that is what gives me the vision to create different backdrops and settings for each newborn I have the pleasure to photograph. Baby Raydon had this gorgeous, shiny, jet black hair. I really felt inspired to use this new black basket I had found and play with the way it complimented his beautiful locks.

He was so sweet and looked so adorable when I wrapped him in a cheesecloth swaddle! What an angel.

One thing I always love to capture are cute little toesies! They’re so tiny at this age and work well if you’re thinking of putting together a cluster of images for your wall!

I love this cute little newborn hat I found on-line! It was so chunky and I love the texture of it. I will definitely be getting some more of these awesome baby beanies!

I always like to get variety to my shots! I played with the colours in the wood floor and complimented them with this animal print blanket I had around the studio. It was nice to use some of my funkier blankets and it really worked well with little Raydon’s skin tone. I had a great time photographing newborn baby Raydon… Stay tuned to the blog for some new and exciting baby shoots!! There is some pretty cool stuff still to come :)

{Baby Photography} Janelle

The Baby Time Show was such a Huge success for me! I was so thrilled that so many parents signed up for my photography to document such an important time in their little ones life! Little baby Janelle was a darling little 4 month old that I’ve had the pleasure to photograph because of the Baby Time Show! There are many, many more shoots to blog but I had to get some cute shots up of this sweet little princess!

As I was planning the props for this shoot, I knew that Gina, Janelle’s mommy, wanted to use some soft pinks for the canvas to co-ordinate with Janelle’s room. I love being able to style and plan my shoots so they can be pieces of art for my clients home. It really means a lot to me to have the images showcased as works of art. The canvas is going to be beautiful and has so much drama and style. After seeing the quality of Mikaela’s canvas at the show, Gina had to have one!! Who could blame her?!

Isn’t Janelle such a sweet little baby!?! Look at those gorgeous eyelashes and cute button nose! I love my macro lens for allowing me to get in close for all of those beautiful details. Janelle actually looks like a little angel on a cloud in that shot!  Going with the pink theme, I thought a shot with some pink Gerbera’s would be super-cute. What a happy baby!!

I love Janelle’s rosy cheeks in this shot :) So cute! Those are a handful of my favourite shots of Janelle’s baby photo session… I have a lot more blogging to do since shooting in Mexico last week. Stay tuned to the blog for many more newborn, baby and toddler photo sessions to come!toronto-baby-photographer-5

{Baby Photography} Carys

Hello blog readers!! I’m so sorry it’s been a while since I last wrote. The reason for the delay in blogging is because not only had a HUGE response from our booth at the Baby Time Show but because we’re getting ready for Fiona and Bobby’s awesome tropical wedding in the gorgeous Riviera Maya, Mexico. Yes, that’s right we’ll be shooting and soaking up the sun on the beautiful beach for a week. It’s a tough job but somebody has to do it ;)   Before we headed off, I was itching to get this adorable baby photography session on the blog. It’s a little girl that holds a sweet place in my heart. Little baby Carys! Although I’ve photographed my fair share of babies, toddlers and kids, she was one of my first newborn photography sessions ever.

Carys was only 3 days old when she came by my Toronto studio and I instantly fell in love. She was sooo tiny, she actually fit into her fathers hands! Now look at her! She’s 6 months old and now has her dad wrapped around her little finger :)

For Carys’ baby shoot, I wanted to try out some of the new props and goodies I bought. I actually made this little tutu above, I love how it puffs straight out like this, too cute! And I love this little pink tutu below! It reminds me of Marilyn Monroe for some reason!

Photographing a baby at 6 months old is so much fun! Not only because they are SO expressive (see below, hehe) but because they can sit up on their own and can’t easily crawl off to do their own thing!

Look at those gorgeous eyes! Sparkly huh?!

toronto-baby-photographer-05

Awwww, this is such a cute shot! I love the way she looks in this teddy bear hat, so sweet!

“Hey, wait a second… this doesn’t taste like cotton candy!!” Babies are so curious at this age and love exploring new things especially testing out those taste buds :)

It was sooo much fun having baby Carys and her mom Fallon along for another baby photography session. Can’t wait to see them at the 9 month mark for another photo shoot! Thanks so much Fallon & Gary, you’re very blessed to have such a sweet little angel :)
