Wow… what a week! I’m so excited to post some of my newborn shoots I’ve done lately but with the Christmas rush here it’s been a bit crazy around the studio. I thought I’d blog one cute little newborn, baby Raydon, that I’ve been meaning to blog him for a while. He was such a little cutie and he slept pretty much the whole time which really allows me to get some beautiful, curly newborn poses we all love.

I really take a lot of pride in creating something special for every baby I photograph. I get inspiration from each child and that is what gives me the vision to create different backdrops and settings for each newborn I have the pleasure to photograph. Baby Raydon had this gorgeous, shiny, jet black hair. I really felt inspired to use this new black basket I had found and play with the way it complimented his beautiful locks.

He was so sweet and looked so adorable when I wrapped him in a cheesecloth swaddle! What an angel.

One thing I always love to capture are cute little toesies! They’re so tiny at this age and work well if you’re thinking of putting together a cluster of images for your wall!

I love this cute little newborn hat I found on-line! It was so chunky and I love the texture of it. I will definitely be getting some more of these awesome baby beanies!

I always like to get variety to my shots! I played with the colours in the wood floor and complimented them with this animal print blanket I had around the studio. It was nice to use some of my funkier blankets and it really worked well with little Raydon’s skin tone. I had a great time photographing newborn baby Raydon… Stay tuned to the blog for some new and exciting baby shoots!! There is some pretty cool stuff still to come
