{Newborn Photography} Mikaela

Meet adorable little Mikaela! She was such a perfect newborn. So cute and sleepy and such a pleasure to photograph. I have to say she was a lot of fun to have in the baby studio for a few hours.

I really enjoyed chatting with her mom Andrea and getting to use some of my new baby photography props like my awesome primitive butter bowl my parents found for my newborn photo sessions.

Ok, this shot above has to be one of my favourites!! I love the way the background looks like fluffy snow and the way the fuzzy bear hat looks against it!  Doesn’t Mikaela have such an adorable little belly button, goodness newborn babies are the best!

I love the way Mikaela’s little baby toes look and the cute little wrinkles in her feet. Her toes are soo teeny tiny, such a great detail to capture while she’s still a little newborn baby.

Another baby detail I love are shots of tiny fingers. Too cute!

I was so excited to have a little girl come by the studio for a shoot. I got a chance to use my new pink baby swaddler. I’ve been noticing a lot of little boys coming for shoots lately and not many little girls. I have so many pink items, too too’s, caps and beanies to shoot in. I think I’ll have to do a marathon baby shoot with the next little girl that comes in for a newborn photo session
